Chelsea Floyd

My name is Chelsea Floyd. I received the Scott Impellizeri Memorial Scholarship when I graduated from Hardin Valley Academy in 2012. I used my scholarship to attend Middle Tennessee State University (‘12-‘16). I obtained a degree in Sports Marketing and a minor in Business Administration. Following graduation, I relocated to Johnson City, TN and worked for the St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Team. After 3 months, I received the opportunity to head back to Murfreesboro to become the Assistant Director of Marketing in Athletics. I have been in this position for 2 years. My main job duties include promoting our sports and getting a little broadcasting experience. In the next couple years, my goal is to become a full time sports reporter. Without this scholarship, I wouldn’t be where I am now and I am forever grateful.
