Scott was an amazing young man. He was a leader, a mentor and had a unique personality that drew people to him. Scott graduated from Hardin Valley Academy in 2011. He received the Humanitarian Award for outstanding service as a peer tutor. He was enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University and was preparing to begin his criminal justice studies in August 2011. His goal after graduating from MTSU was to become a SWAT officer with the Knoxville Police Department.
Aside from Scott’s interest in law enforcement, his true passion was helping others. Over the years, Scott had enjoyed volunteering his time with groups such as Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity and the Music City Quarter Midget Racing Association, which is a racing program for kids ages 5 to 16.
